Therapy for Adults
Adult individual therapy can be useful in overcoming anxiety and depression, navigating life transitions and decisions, managing and reducing stress, as well as understanding and changing unsatisfying relationship patterns. My goal is to identify the main areas that the client is struggling with and to work collaboratively to achieve the desired changes. Through the establishment of the therapeutic bond, the client can focus conscious and deliberate efforts to learn and adopt new coping skills.
Individual therapy involves identifying and overcoming destructive patterns through self-reflection, which can be an uncomfortable process. I endeavor to create an environment that is nonjudgmental, warm, direct and creative. I am interactive and strive to create a balance of support, acceptance and challenge.
